Welcome to Panama
Panama is the southernmost country of Central America bordered on the west by Costa Rica, on the east by Colombia, on the north by the Caribbean coastline and on the south by the Pacific coastline. The country is best known for the Panama Canal, which divides the country into eastern and western regions.
Less known is the fact that Panama is one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. Its unique ecology stems in part from its connection to two continents. Outside of the modern metropolitan city, Panama has magnificent natural scenery, including virgin rainforest and unspoiled coral islands with breathtaking white sand beaches.
If you are looking for a new destination to explore that has opportunities for birding, trekking, nightlife, culture, and relaxation, then Panama might just be what you are looking for.
